2008 was a year of success for SNIEC. 80 international shows were  hosted in last year, attracting 67,607 exhibitors (15% increase from 2007) and 2,666,188 visitors (a slight fall from 2007 due to the global financial crisis). Among them, 35 shows are over 50000 sqm. In addition, A total of 3,860,500 sqm of exhibition space had been rented out, increasing by 20.8% from 2007, and the occupancy rate amounts to 73.7% (based on 300 days).

Currently, SNIEC offers 11 one-storey and column-free halls with a total of 126,500sqm of indoor and 100,000 sqm outdoor exhibition space. A new round of hall expansion is on the road. These developments will further enhance and solidify SNIEC’s competitiveness in China’s growing exhibition market.
